2009 WSOP final 9 set for $1,000 buy-in, No-Limit Hold’em event

The 2009 WSOP tournament is now to the point where the final nine players have emerged to form the final table for this year’s $1,000 buy-in, No-Limit Hold’em tourney. With a starting player base of over 6,000, it has all come down to the last nine.

The chip leader, Dan Heimiller, is bringing 4,155,000 chips while the number 9 player is bringing a little less than one million chips. The winner will get $771,106 this year and earn a great prize. Lakers take it to the Magic in game 1 of the NBA Finals

Orlando Magic go down in a disturbing 100-75 loss to the Los Angels Lakers on Thursday night in game 1 of the NBA Finals. Although the Lakers are favored, there was still some huge expectations for Dwight Howard to do his “magic” and keep game 1 close.

Player wins first tournament of the ECOOP IV

In the first tournament of the 14-day, $4.55 Million Guaranteed Prize series, a 21-year-old TitanPoker.com veteran from Canada displayed his considerable poker skills.

A 21-year-old student from Canada pocketed $52,500 and first prize at the opening event of the fourth European Championship of Online Poker (ECOOP IV) (http://www.titanpoker.com/ecoop_may_2009.html), which kicked off on May 25 at popular online poker room Titan Poker.

Player “ch0ppy”, a two-year veteran at Titan Poker, outlasted 1,125 other avid online poker players in the $250,000 Guaranteed Prize No Limit Texas Hold’em tournament. The ECOOP IV event was the first of 14-nights of online poker action, which culminate with a $1,500,000 Guaranteed Prize Main Event on June 7. A total of $4.55 Million in prizes is guaranteed to winning players over the two weeks of online poker tournaments at Titan Poker .

As winner of the first event of the series, “ch0ppy” will receive a prestigious, jewel-encrusted bracelet. “ch0ppy” is already registered to play in the $1,500,000 Guaranteed Prize tournament, and could be the first player in ECOOP IV history to win two bracelets in a single series.

Qualifying satellite tournaments for the ECOOP IV events are being staged daily at Titan Poker.
