The Safety of Online Gambling
A big contribution is made by online gambling to the internet industry. More and more people increasingly prefer to play casino on their computers rather than go and play the game in a casino play center. However, there are several concerns surrounding the security of the customers when it comes to playing online. People have apprehensions regarding the maintenance of confidentiality of their personal and sensitive information such as details pertaining to their address, credit card details, etc.
Secure Encryption Technology
Through the use of secure encryption technology, all the financial transactions are subject to a state-of-the-art technology. This technology prevents hackers from using important information from the online casino.
Reliable Software
The online casino can be considered as credible if the software being used has been secured from a big provider. This is considered to be an important factor because it plays a crucial role in playing online. Some of the more common online casino software are RTG Casinos and Rival Casinos. Both are top of the industry.
Surety of Payouts
Many casinos show proof of the payouts given by them over the years to give assurance to players regarding their credibility. There are other casinos that also post their income and say how much they are willing to give customers through winnings. It is better for casinos to use an independent accounting firm for getting the reports to avoid problems later on. We have listed some of the best first deposit casino bonuses offered, so check them out.
Online Casino Directories’ Reliability

eCOGRA
eCommerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance ( eCOGRA) is an organization which helps to monitor whether the players playing online casinos are just and fair. By running a series of tests, they continuously check the online casinos to make sure that customers are not being cheated of their money. However, some requirements have to be met by online casinos and poker rooms for getting the approval of this organization. These requirements will have to be complied with if the casinos or gambling sites online require eCOGRA accreditation.
The industry of online casinos is replete with scammers and hence you must be careful while choosing an online casino site. You must also research about the deposit methods, pay-outs and the overall credibility of the site before deciding to play online. New networks have been built by casino operators to provide worthwhile gambling entertainment via the internet. You can easily indulge in online casino games such as blackjack, poker and various other types of casino games online. The only word of caution is to undertake research and locate reliable gaming sites so that you can enjoy both safety and comfort while playing these games in an online setting.

In the last couple years, there have been quite a few online casinos accepting USA players that have had to leave the US market due to certain regulations or the fact that the casino software provider decided to pull out of the market (Microgaming casinos). But in the last few months, there have been some changes with new USA online casinos coming along as well as some trusted online casinos deciding to re-enter the US market. Our thoughts are that we will soon see an overhaul of the USA online casino regulations, or lack there of, and have lots of additional choices for players. The great news for you is that many of out top rated casinos already accept USA players, so you can play with that in mind.
We see this as a good sign of things to come for our US friends. Congress is working on overturning the UIGEA which was passed in order to prohibit banks form accepting US gambling transactions. We have listed the best USA online casinos and you can rest assured that if you play at one of these, that you are playing at the best – becuase that’s all we list on our site, no rogue casinos.

Were any of you playing in the record setting tournament this Sunday in which PokerStars broke the record when they had over 65 thousand players all in a single poker tournament? The last record was set by none other than PokerStars themselves and was 35 thousand players in a single poker tournament. That was back in 2008 and is now history. It looks like Pokerstars did not want to let the title go to their rival, Full Tilt, who stated they had plans to break that old 2008 record.
So PokerStars created this tournament that included a buy in of only $1 while Full Tilt set their buy-in at $5. PokerStars matched the guaranteed $65,000 prize pool so it was set to $130,000. Full tilt had a massive $500,000 guaranteed pool after matching the $250,000. Both tournament had no problems reaching peak players quickly. Full Tilt winner got a nice $45,000 payout while PokerStars winner got $13,000. Not a bad payday form those buy ins huh?

NBA superstar Antoine Walker was in Nevada last week in order to participate in the American Championship Celebrity Golf Tournament and apparently decided to visit one of his favorite casinos, Harrahs. He was arrested in the casino and charged with writing bad checks to three Vegas casinos. He reportedly wrote 10 bad checks to Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood and Red Rock Resort in order to get a line of credit while he visited those casinos.
This sounds somewhat similar to Charles Barkley’s situation where he too was charged with stealing money from Vegas casinos over a year ago. One would think that someone who has made over $100 million in his 12 years in the pros can afford to cover checks he writes for gambling, but instead Walker is going to have to learn the hard way. Walker is no stranger to run-ins with the law. Just months ago, he was arrested in Miami on charges of DUI. He has reportedly paid back about $1 million of his debt, but still owes over $800,000 to casinos. Looks like he is going to have to find the best online casinos now as he will certainly not be welcomed in Vegas anytime soon.

World Series of Poker (WSOP) is undoubtedly the king of events in the world-gambling domain. Among the oldest, most awaited and most exalted annual event in the history of poker, WSOP has an ardent fan following. Players from all over the globe endeavor for a spot to compete against the champions of poker; even the staggeringly high buy-ins does not discourage the poker fanatics to procure a seat in one of the most esteemed events. Online poker websites offer to pay for the proficient players unable to buy a seat in event owing to high fees. They are known as poker satellites. Poker rooms are packed to their strength when championship events are underway in the most extravagant and munificent style. The WSOP is truly the most stimulating event of the year.
WSOP AT THE START
Nick Dandolos and Benny Binion, two of the most outstanding and prodigious players decided to have a game of marathon poker. Thus, in the late 1940’s the match was set up with Nick challenging the then unrivalled king of poker Johnny Moss. It was not before 1949 that the play got underway with both oppositions agreeing to a detailed contract. One of the clauses of the contract was that play was to be held in full public view. After grueling set of hands and tiring game of play, finally, there was a winner. As predicted, Moss won and took home a bounty close to 2 million. Thus, a new era of poker known as World Series of poker had begun.
Nick lost the first endurance match, but Binion again challenged Moss after 21 years of Nick losing in the first marathon poker. He invited six of the most well known poker players to The Horseshoe Casino, Nevada to play a game of marathon poker. Again, as awaited, Moss dominated and came forth as the undisputed champion of champions. Players decided the winner on basis of secret ballot as it was a set time event. This was the invitational event and from this event onwards, the championship was laurelled as The World Series of Poker.
WSOP IN ITS PRESENT STAGE
WSOP has come a long way since the first time it was played with limited players and single event. The 2007 edition saw a total of 55 different events and more than 5000 registered poker players vying for the top spots. The World Series of Poker bracelet is the most coveted prize a poker player can aspire to win and since 1976, each winner has been awarded with the WSOP bracelet in recognition of his feat.
The year 2009 WSOP began with a bang and a special $40,000 no limit holdem (event 2) was introduced to mark the 40th anniversary of World Series of Poker. The total number of events went up from 55 to 57 with debut of two more events. However, all eyes in the poker room were set on the main event, which boasted of a humungous $50,000 buy-in, The H.O.R.S.E. tournament. The event sent eyeballs rolling by bettering the previous record of most hands in an event. David Bach won the event taking the Chip Reese Memorial trophy and the gold bracelet along with nearly $1.3 million as prize money. Some of the biggest names in online poker seem to rule the tournament, and thousands of wanna be players practice and enter tournaments each year in hopes in making to this big event.

With the final table set in the 2009 WSOP, we are now left asking which if the final nine can win this thing. We have had a curious eye on online poker heavy-weight player Phil Ivey and he is now poised to show the world what he can do.
One thing is that Ivey is on the lower end of the chip stack as he has 9,765,000 chips while the leader, Darvin Moon has 58,930,000 chips. Now that is quite a difference, but we have all seen what Ivey can do and there is no doubt that he will be well prepared and give it his all. Many know him as the face of Full Tilt Poker. He started playing at a very young age and entered the big time in 2000 in his first WSOP tournament. He finished 5th in the $2,000 No-Limit Texas Hold’em tourney and then sat down with some poker big wigs, among them was Phil Hellmuth, for the $2,500 Pot-Limit Omaha contest. While many would be very intimidated, Ivey walked away with his first Bracelet and thus started the legend that is Ivey. From that point on, he has been kicking ass and taking names. With total winnings of around $7 million, hs is always someone to be feared at the table.

What a great night with some of the best sluggers in baseball going at it tonight in the 2009 Home Run Derby. Round 1 must have seemed to last forever for Nelson Cruz and Prince Fielder who both belted out 11 homers in the opening round. That’s because there was a three way hit off with Albert Pujols, Carlos Pena and Joe Mauer who all hit 5 homers in the first round. With nothing too exciting happening, Albert Pujols, the hometown favorite was able to get a little help from a fan who leaned over and helped one of his hits over the fence. Not that he was not awesome, but we don’t think he would have made it out of the round without that help.
With the second round just ending, it’s between Fielder and Cruz who are both looking strong. We are putting our money on Prince Fielder as he seemed to come alive in round two and we think it will continue into the finals.
There’s still time to get in at one of the online sportsbooks and the lines are pretty even at this point.

The guys around the office have not been able to stop talking about tonights UFC 100. We have been waiting for this for a while and can’t wait to see the headliner event which is a rematch between UFC Heayweight Champion Brock Lesnar and the UFC Interim Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir.
The last time these two met up it appeared that Lesnar had the bout in the bag and was well on his way to another victory. But in the last few minutes, Mir was able to get Lesnar in a leg hold in which he had to tap out of. Looking at Brock Lesnar, you can’t help but think about what will happen to the other guy. This guy is a physical specimen that is amazing. But Mir is a very experienced and knows how to prepare, so this should be pretty amazing.
