Will Brees Stay Perfect Against Atlanta Falcons in Week 8

No football team in the NFL has been more impressive this season than the New Orleans Saints. They are the total package equipped with a capable defense, a hall of fame caliber quarterback in Drew Brees and an offense that can easily put up 40+ points on any given Sunday!

There are only three teams in the NFL left undefeated coming into week eight, two in the AFC in Peyton Manning’s Indianapolis Colts and head coach phenom Josh McDaniels’ Denver Broncos and of course Drew Bree’s New Orleans Saints.

The Saints will be coming into week eight against another really good NFC team in the Atlanta Falcons with some much needed momentum after week seven’s comeback victory against the Miami Dolphins in which the Saints were 21 points down at halftime only to comeback in the second half and score 36 points to get the win and stay undefeated at 6-0.

This week Drew Brees and the Saints will have their work cut out for them once again going up against division rival Atlanta Falcons who are coming off a loss to the Dallas Cowboys in week seven.

Even though the Falcons are licking their wounds after Tony Romo and company light them up for 37 points in the 37-21 loss in week seven, the Falcons are still arguably one of the best teams in the NFL and in the top three teams in the NFC.

This game will be huge for both teams not only because just beating a very good team, but whomever wins this game will have the edge in the NFC South and a victory for either team could be the difference between a division title and fighting for the Wildcard spot in the playoffs.

Despite the Atlanta Falcons being one the best teams in the NFC I believe they will lose their second straight game to the New Orleans Saints in week eight because they are just too good for any team in the NFL to handle right now. Matt Ryan and company might be able to give the Saints a run for their money if they did their homework and studied the game footage from the Saints last game, but I don’t think they have the kind of X-factor they need to be able to take down them this week.

The key to this game will be Drew Brees for the Saints and the Atlanta Falcons defense. If Drew Brees has a good or even decent game then forget about it, but if the Atlanta Falcons defense can come up big like the Miami Dolphins did in the first half against Drew Brees last week then they have a chance to pull off the upset.

Regardless of the outcome this should be one the better games this weekend! The USA online sportsbooks have the Saints as 10 point favorites this week.
