With the final table set in the 2009 WSOP, we are now left asking which if the final nine can win this thing. We have had a curious eye on online poker heavy-weight player Phil Ivey and he is now poised to show the world what he can do.
One thing is that Ivey is on the lower end of the chip stack as he has 9,765,000 chips while the leader, Darvin Moon has 58,930,000 chips. Now that is quite a difference, but we have all seen what Ivey can do and there is no doubt that he will be well prepared and give it his all. Many know him as the face of Full Tilt Poker. He started playing at a very young age and entered the big time in 2000 in his first WSOP tournament. He finished 5th in the $2,000 No-Limit Texas Hold’em tourney and then sat down with some poker big wigs, among them was Phil Hellmuth, for the $2,500 Pot-Limit Omaha contest. While many would be very intimidated, Ivey walked away with his first Bracelet and thus started the legend that is Ivey. From that point on, he has been kicking ass and taking names. With total winnings of around $7 million, hs is always someone to be feared at the table.
