888 Holdings, which is one of the top gambling operators on the internet, has come out and signed a joint venture with a company in US. It is looking to make the most of the expanding internet gambling legalization happening throughout the country.
Dealing in online sports betting, online poker, online bingo and other online casino games, the UK operator said that it has agreed with the investment firm, Avenue Capital Group, to sign a deal. Together, they will form a new company referred to as the All American Poker Network.
At this moment, 888 and Caesars are already in joint ventures. Again, they are into a strategic dealing with the WMS, which is a manufacturer of gaming machines. In comparison, its main rival, Bwin.Party, is in partnership with Boyd Gaming and MGM.
According to the officials at 888, the All American Poker Network is going to launch the 888 brand in US, when the regulations (state or federal based) are finalized and licenses get obtained.
Avenue Capital is going to be the one, which will offer 888 with the financial backing. However, there is no confirmation on the amount that will be needed by the gambling operators.
Brian Mattingley, who is the Chief Executive at 888 Holdings, said, “It is going to be the perfect deal for our company. We will be served with the best platform for launching our brand in the lucrative US market.”
He also said that it was a part of our online strategy for long. However, due to internet gambling legalization issues in US, it could never shape up.
