Kansas all set to impose ban on online casino gambling

Approval has been given by the Kansas State Senate on the modification in the current gambling statutes. If the modification will come in, it is going to ban online gambling inside Kansas.

Once banned, online gambling will be designated as a Class B nonperson crime, which is going to come with a possible penalty of USD 1,000. The guilty party might even be imprisoned for a duration of 6 months.

Inclusion of online casinos in Illinois bill raising concerns

Illinois has been in the midst of debate over gambling for long and now, it is expanding each day. Governor Pat Quinn vetoes Illinois online gambling bill

Last Monday, Pat Quinn, Governor of Illinois, vetoed the legislation, which could have bought casinos to the City of Chicago alongside Downstate and the southern suburbs. He said that the bill, which was sent to him in the early part of January, was bad for the people of the state.

This veto has killed all the chances of the Windy City getting a casino in its area. Again, it means that the lawmakers in the state would need to start from the scratch with another bill for gambling expansion.

Massachusetts looking to have online gambling legalized

Massachusetts lawmakers have come out with couple of internet gaming proposals. The proposals involve legalization of online lottery sales as well as other form of casino games online.

Sen. Bruce Tarr has proposed the Senate Bill #197, which calls for legalization of the internet casino games. The games, which would be avoided, are the ones resembling any form of slots. Again, games conflicting with the state lottery are also not going to be considered in the bill.
