Profits of Rank Group, one of the companies known mainly for its betting ventures, have increased by 9%. And the credit of the increase in profits has been given mainly to business given to them by the Grosvenor Casino and its online operations. Mecca Bingo brand of the online operations played a significant role in creating the popularity of the casino.

In spite of the existing difficult financial times, the pre-tax profits of the concern on the continuing operations saw a rise to £61.5-million on June 2012. The same time last year, the figure stood at £56.4-million. According to the group, the customer numbers also saw an increase by 4.9 percent from where it was last year. However, there was a drop in the average amount, which the group brought in from each of their customer. It fell by 1.4 percent and currently stands at £224.82.

Top Rank Espana, another business run by the Top Rank Group, saw a considerable fall in its operating profit. It fell down 65 percent to £1.4-million from £4-million, which it had attained last year. However, it is believed that the tough economic conditions in Spain have contributed to the losses.

Ian Burke, the Chief Executive of the firm, said that the financial position of the group has remained strong. As a result of that, they will be giving out dividend, which it pays to its shareholders. There are recommendations already about the board putting up with an amount of 3.6-pence on every share, which is almost a third higher to what was paid last year.
