Red32 delighted with H1 results and increasing scope in Italian gambling market

It was not long back, March 2012, when 32Red was able to obtain a license in the “dot.it”. That had given scope for their places to launch a casino, bingo and poker room offering for the country by the end of the year. Referred to as the Casino of the Decade by many experts, it is also among the top online casino operators in the world.

Revenue wise, the company has done an excellent job. Red32 has been able to report a year-on-year overall increase in the revenue by close to 50 percent to £16.5 million. Casinos have contributed most to the overall revenue with the current figures standing at £14.5 million from £9.5 million in H1 of 2011.

Ed Ware, who is the chief executive of Red32, was very happy with the first half results and the possibility of starting operations in the lucrative Italian market pretty soon.

Ed said, “We are encouraged with the fact that the Italian legislations have recently moved forward for allowing online operators to give scope to online bingo from November itself. Again, they have also issued an allowance for online casino slots from December itself. While we still focus on our core UK market, we are looking forward to make the most of our Italian license for expanding the profile of our brand. It will also help our business to grow in another lucrative and regulated market.”

He continued saying, “About the strong performance in the first half of the year, we are very much delighted. The rise has been across all the key measures of our casino. From what we have gathered, thus far, this performance is still persisting in the first two months of the second half, even though there were a lot of distraction and excitement due to the Olympics. Thus, we hope for a better result at the end of the year as well.”
