Different lobby groups across US have been aiming towards getting the nod for some sorts of online gaming legislation from the Federal officials. The legislation is going to allow internet gambling to be legal in the country.
For the past couple of years, a lot of time and money has been invested for convincing the elected senators. These lobbying groups have come up with proposals for the senators to explain how it would be possible for letting internet gambling to function in US with responsibility and control.
The groups have pointed out the probable growth in the revenue of the state, where it is legalized. However, there have been differences in few of the parties involved with the state representatives, which have led to the story to remain in the same place, as it was before.
Now, many of the biggest groups have spent a large amount of money, but to no avail. These groups are now realizing that there might be little hope for finding the nod from the majority at the Federal Level. This is why they are currently lobbying for implementation of the legislation on a state-to-state basis.
Currently, Nevada and Delaware have already come up in the mix, whereas there are high chances that New Jersey may follow soon, once Gov. Christie decides on signing the bill.
At this moment, it is believed that Nevada might become the first in the country to launch a legal gambling site in the early parts of 2013. However, there would be pressure on other states from these groups to follow the same path. There are high chances that other states will follow the suit soon, as this move will help their drooping economy considerably.
